Step-by-step explanation:

Oranges that Naina bought = 3 2/5 kg

Oranges that Naina's mother bought = 6 2/3 kg

Total oranges = 3 2/5 + 6 2/3

= 17/5 + 20/3

LCM = 15

= 17×3/5×3 + 20×5/3×5

= 51+100/15

= 151/15

= 10 1/15 kg

Therefore, the the total quantity of oranges they bought is 10 1/15 kg

Quantity of orange bought by Naina :-

  = 3 \frac{2}{5}  \:  \: kg

 \color{olive}=\color{hotpink}  \frac{17}{5}  \color{olive}\: kg

Quantity of orange bought by Naina's mother :-

 = 6 \frac{2}{3}  \: \:  kg

\color{olive} =  \color{hotpink} \frac{20}{3}  \color{olive}\: kg

Quantity of orange they both bought together :-

 =  \frac{17}{5}  +  \frac{20}{3}

 =  \frac{(17 \times 3)}{15}  +  \frac{(20 \times 5)}{15}

 =  \frac{51}{15}  +  \frac{100}{15}

 =  \frac{(51 + 100)}{15}

 =  \frac{151}{15}

\color{olive} =\color{hotpink} 10 \frac{1}{15} \color{olive} \:  \: kg

Therefore the total quantity of orange bought by Naina and her mother is :-

\color{olive} = \color{hotpink}10 \frac{1}{15}  \color{olive}\:  \: kg
