45 upon 4=11.25.

11.25kg=11250g
150×80=12000
12000-11250=750

Ans-Nalini will need more 0.75kg of sweets

Given:

Amount of sweets/prasad Nalini has = \frac{45}{4} kg

Prasad needed per devotee = 80 grams

Number of devotees = 150

To find:

(i)  Number of packets formed by the amount of prasad that Nalini has.

(ii) Amount of prasad that'll be left/required if 150 devotees are to be served.

Solution:

(i) To find the number of packets formed by the amount of prasad Nalini has, we'll have to divide Total amount of prasad by prasad needed per devotee:

Number of packets formed by the prasad Nandini has = \dfrac{\frac{45}{4} kg}{80 g}

But, both of the quantities are in different units, so lets convert both into grams:

Since, 1 kg = 1000 g

Therefore, \frac{45}{4} \ kg = \frac{45}{4}  \times 1000 \ g \ = 11250 \ g

So, now,

Number of packets formed by the prasad Nalini has = \dfrac{11250 \ g}{80 \ g} = 140.625

\therefore 140.625 packets of prasad will be formed using \frac{45}{4} kgs of sweet.

(ii) Amount of sweets required to serve 1 devotee = 80 g

Amount of sweets required to serve 150 devotees = 150 \times 80 = 12000 g

But, the amount of sweets Nalini has presently = 11250 g

Now since, 12000 g > 11250 g

So, Nalini will require more sweets to distribute prasad to 150 devotees.

Amount of sweets that are required more = 12000 - 11250 g = 750 g

\therefore Nalini needs 750 g of more sweets to distribute prasad to 150 devotees.
