A=P+\frac{P\times r\times t}{100}

Where,

P = investment,

t = number of periods,

r = rate per period,

Here, P = 4000, r = 5%,

Thus, the amount after t years,

A=4000+\frac{4000\times 5\times t}{100}=4000+200t

Hence, the required relation would be,

A = 4000 + 200t

Graphing : Consider in the coordinate plane x represents time t and y represents amount A corresponding t,

For t = 0, A = 0,

For t = 1, A = 4200

i.e. join (0, 4000) and (1, 4200) in the coordinate plane.

Also, for t years t \leq 4

Time can't negative ⇒ 0 \leq t
