Answer:

Microbial diversity is truly staggering, yet all these microbes can be grouped into five major types: Viruses, Bacteria, Algae, Fungi, and protozoa

1) viruses : use : viruses are used  in agriculture , preparation of pest control reagent etc

harmful effect : Viruses decrees the capacity of resistance...

2) bacteria : use : production of traditional foods such as yogurt, cheese, and vinegar.

harmful effect : Harmful bacteria are called pathogenic bacteria because they cause disease and illnesses like strep throat, staph infections, cholera, tuberculosis, and food poisoning.

3) algae : uses: to produce a variety of products for large to small markets: plastics, chemical feed stocks, lubricants, fertilizers, and even cosmetics.

harmful effect : Algae-affected water may not be suitable for drinking, recreation or agricultural use.

4) fungi : uses : for pest control , to produce citric acid, antibiotics, and human hormones

harmful effect  :harmful fungi cause disease (e.g., infections, allergies) in man, and produce toxins that affect plants, animals and humans

5) protozoa : uses :Protozoa play an important role in mineralizing nutrients, making them available for use by plants and other soil organisms.

harmful effect : Some protozoans cause diseases. The protozoan Endamoeba histolytica causes amoebiasis (amoebic dysentery) in human beings, Giardia causes giardiasis (dysentery), while Plasmodium causes malaria.

Production of dairy products: Bacteria are the key players here. Dairy production has a considerable effect on climate change due to emissions of greenhouse gases such as methane

Bread Baking: A species of Streptococcus is added to the dough before making bread to bring about the required fermentation. Bread contains gluten, which can cause adverse side effects for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity

Alcoholic Drinks: Alcoholic drinks are prepared or manufactured by the process of fermentation . Alcohol interferes with the brain's communication pathways, and can affect the way the brain looks and works

Organic acids: Organic acids are commercially prepared using fungi. it has acidic properties

Enzymes: Many microbes are used in the derivation of enzymes. All enzymes, being proteins, are potential allergens and have especially potent effects if inhaled as a dust
