The nephron removes water and solutes from the tubular fluid (pre-urine) and returns them to the circulating blood.

Answer: A common nutrient which is absorbed in the small intestine and reabsorbed by the kidney tubules is Glucose.

Glucose is a monosaccharide which is formed by the digestion of carbohydrates in the small intestine. It is an important source of energy in the all living organisms. Glucose is taken up by simple columnar epithelial cells ( with the help of Na-glucose cotransporters) in the small intestine which transfer it to the surrounding blood capillaries.

Blood is filtered when it reaches kidney ( by nephron) and urine formation occurs. During this process, important nutrients ( like glucose) which were earlier absorbed in the small intestine are reabsorbed through tubules of nephron. This allows to retain them in the body.
