Answer: Glucose is a common nutrient that is absorbed in the small intestine and reabsorbed by the kidney tubules.

Glucose is a monosaccharide obtained by the digestion of carbohydrates in the small intestine. It is one of the most important sources of energy in the life forms. Thus, it is absorbed ( using Na-glucose cotransporters) in the small intestine by the surrounding blood capillaries so that it can be transported to different parts of the body.

When the blood reaches kidney, it gets filtered ( through nephron) and the process of urine formation occurs. During this process, essential substances ( like glucose) which were absorbed in the small intestine are reabsorbed ( by the tubules of nephron) here so that they are not released out by the body in urine.

Glucose is a common nutrient that is absorbed in the small intestine and reabsorbed by the kidney tubules.

Glucose is a simple sugar which has the molecular formula C6H12O6. It is the most abundant monosaccharide, a subcategory of carbohydrates and is mainly made by plants and most algae during photosynthesis from water and carbon dioxide, using energy from sunlight.
