Hello here is your answer...
The splitting of light into its constituent colors is called dispersion and the band of colored components of light is called a spectrum. The easiest way to verify this is by passing a strong beam of white light through a triangular glass prism.
A triangular glass prism is a solid figure with two triangular faces and three rectangular faces (the lateral faces)
On passing white light through a prism, the seven colors of light are obtained on the screen.
So why does light split into seven colors when it passes through a glass prism? Different colors have different wavelengths and travel at different speeds in all other media except for vacuum. Because they travel at different speeds within the prism, they bend at different angles with respect to the incident beam. Red, having the longest wavelength bends the least when it passes through the prism (wavelength is inversely proportional to refractive index- red having the least refractive index bends the least away from the normal). Violet on the other hand, bends the most as it has the shortest wavelength (highest refractive index). In this way, white light is split into its seven constituent colors.
Hope this helps ✌✌

(a) Scattering of light is the phenomenon of change in the direction of light on striking an obstacle, an atom, a molecule, dust particle, water droplet etc. It depends on the size of the particles of the medium through which it passes. .
(b) (i) Blue colour of sky. (ii) Red colour of sky of sunrise and sunset.
