Mass is the physical quantity that measures inertia. SI unit of inertial is kg m/s. Inertia however is not a physical quantity and it does not have any physical existence. It greatly depends upon the mass of the object and the momentum of the body.

Eg. We say water is boiling . if anyone asks how hot it it, we always measure in terms of degree Celsius or degree Fahrenheit
