Thanks for the question!

It is definitely a very interesting question to solve and do some brainstorming.

Abscisic acid (ABA) is an acidic dextrorotatory (+) cis sesquiterpene plant hormone which functions as an inhibitor, counteracts the influence of growth promoting hormones (such as, gibberellins, auxin and cytokinins), induces dormancy and helps overcome conditions of stress factors. It is also called as stressor or stress hormone and/or dormin. The hormone was discovered by Addicott and Weirang et al in the year 1963.

It is quite commonly found inside the chloroplasts either from the mevalonic acid or xanthophyll such as violoxanthin.

ABA functions as a leaf senescence which ultimately protrudes to the aeging of the leaves (promotes as aeging in leaves).

Note: It has been previously answered by me, any actions or report will meant to scrutinize the subject itself. This is just to clear the doubt with much heavy detail.

Hope it helps and solves your query!!
