Mahatma Gandhi- The father of India was the most prominent person along with other leaders who played an important role in the Quite India Movement.
The call of Gandhi to the nation in his Quite India speech on 8th August 1942 was Do or die. He said, "We shall either free India or die in the attempt; we shall not live to see the perpetuation of our slavery."
The other leaders were Jawharlal Nehru, Abdul Kalam Azad,Jayaprakash Narayan, Ram Manohar Lohia, Aruna Asaf Ali, Sucheta Kripalani etc.
