Let me tell you the importance of sports. It is important because it makes us fit and healthy. Sports teach teamwork and problem solving skill. It helps in physical health. Sports boost self esteem. It can reduce pressure and stress. Through games, student can learn a variety of important skills. It makes the mental and physical growth. It developed a sense of friendliness among the children and develop their team spirit. Sports shape their body and make it strong and active. So, I would like to conclude my speech by saying that it play a great role in our daily life. We can have a healthy mind only when we have a healthy body. Great achievements come our way when we maintain our physical and mental well being.

Respected Principal, Vice principal, Head of the department, teachers and my beloved students, I wish you a very good morning to all. I thank the management for this opportunity. We started this day with a prayer. We all would have noticed that the prayer conveys us a beautiful message. It is important to take that message with us throughout our life. We pledge to be a good and responsible citizen. Our actions are reactions of others which are reflected not only in our family but also in the society. So it is our responsibility to be a good citizen.
Then, we assure to spread love and peace in the country. In this short span of life, it is unnecessary to hate others though they are against us. Peaceful coexistence with others irrespective of religion, linguistic culture would give harmony in our life. As our former President of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul kalam said, "We are a global citizen and every citizen in the world are our brothers and sisters".
