Mark it as brainliest and read it full

Every matter expands on heating and shrinks on cooling

Wheter expansion or shrinking is too minimum

Also water expands on heating as it turns into gas

EXCEPTION WHEN WATER IS HEATED FROM 0°C (liquid phase) to 4°C it shrinks as the density is minimum at 4°C

Density (D) = mass (m) / Vol (V)

So D ↓ses

And m is constant

Hence V ↑ses

Other Exception like this can found in other liquids too
