Hii, plzz there is no formula for this chapter...
But you can see the given image...
There is a Types of numbers..
Whole numbers: Numbers start from 0 is called whole number... Example-0,1,2,3,4....

Natural number: Numbers start from 1 is called Natural number... Example-1,2,3,4,5....

Rational number : A number is called rational number if it can be expressed in the form of p/q where p and q are integers... Example-1/2,2/3,8/5....
.....Etc...

The chapter number system has no fomulae as such. But, solving questions is easier when certain point are kept in mind.

First, remember that N stands for Natural Numbers (1,2,3...)

W stands for Whole Numbers (0,1,2,3...)

Z stands for Integers (...-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3...)

R stands for Rational Numbers (any number that can be represented as p/q where both p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0)

Laws of exponents have to be kept in mind.

While rationalising denominators of irrational numbers-

Anything under radical and is alone is multiplied by itself.

eg- 1/\sqrt{2} is multiplied by \sqrt{2}/\sqrt{2}

Any mixed surds are multiplied by only the number under radical.

eg- 4/3\sqrt{3} is multiplied by \sqrt{3}/\sqrt{3}

Any terms with +/- are multiplied with the same terms but the sign is reversed.

eg- 1/ \sqrt{x} +\sqrt{y} is multiplied with \sqrt{x} -\sqrt{y} /\sqrt{x} -\sqrt{y}

Any number with fractional power is solved as follows-

64^{1/2} = \sqrt{64}

So, if we see a number with fractional power, we take the denomintor root of the number.

Last but not the least, keep calm. There is no need to be afraid by seeing equations with irrational and rational numbers combined.

Hope this answer helped!!!!
