Name and explain the basic process of intake of food by ameoba. How is it differing from osmosis or diffusion
Answers
Answer:
Hi buddy
Explanation:
endocytosis is the process by which amoeba intake its food during which it approaches the food particle and with the help of finger like projections on its surface called pseudopodia it forms of cup like structure around the food particle and forms a food vacuole
however in diffusion the exchange of particles take place due to the difference in in the concentration (from higher concentration to lower concentration)of particles in in two or more areas
and osmosis is a special type of diffusion which happens between water molecules across a semipermeable membrane water moves from a region of higher concentration to region of lower concentration across semipermeable membrane
I have written this so that you understand this whole difference thing however if you want to write the same answer in the exam then I won't recommend it cause it's too long
