• Floods: The overflowing of rivers by breaching their banks to enter lands is called flood. Heavy rains are responsible for floods
• Cyclones : A system of fast moving winds around an area of low pressure is called a cyclone.The most famous cyclone is the 1977 cyclone which caused great loss to life and property and not just the state and central government helped but so did people from the nation and abroad. These cyclones generally originate in the "South China sea, Bay of Bengal or the Andaman Sea".
• Earthquakes: Shaking of the "earth’s crust" due to "movement of tectonic plates" or other movement within earth is called earthquake.
• Landfalls: Moving of a large piece of land, usually from a hill or mountain is called a landfall.These are usually caused by "heavy rains".
