name and explain the process by which amoeba acquires its food.

Amoeba takes in food using temporary finger-like extensions of the cell surface which fuse over the foodparticle forming a food-vacuole as shown in figure. Inside the foodvacuole, complex substances are broken down into simpler ones which then diffuse into the cytoplasm.

amoeba has a material called psudopodia through which it engulfs the food from the surroundings. since it is single celled organism it doesn't have circulatory system, digestive system, respiratory system,etc which human have. all the life processes take pace in one cell only.so it digest the food material and when the food get digested,left over waste food will be excreted by amoeba through bursting. this is the process in which amoeba acquires the food.
