Torrid Zone:The torrid or Tropical Zone is also referred to as the Tropics. The Torrid Zone is bound by the Tropic of Cancer in the north and the Tropic of Capricorn in the south. The regions in which the Sun passes directly overhead are marked by these in northern and southern extremes by these latitudes. At those two latitudes it happens just once a year, but in the region between them the Sun passes overhead twice a year.
Temperate Zones:There are two Temperate Zones on Earth, which consist of tepid latitudes, the Sun is never directly overhead and the climate is mild. The temperatures generally range from warm to cool. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, the four seasons occur in these zones. The North Temperate Zone spans across Europe, Northern Asia, North and Central America. The South Temperate Zone constitutes southern Australia, southern South America and Southern Africa.
Frigid Zones:There are two Frigid Zones on Earth, which consist of the Polar Regions. These regions experience midnight sun and the polar night in the partial year.At the edge of the zone there is one day at the winter when the Sun is invisible. And on one day at the summer solstice when the Sun remains above the horizon for 24 hrs, while in the centre of the zone, the day is almost 1 year long, having six months of day and night each.Frigid Zones are the coldest parts of the Earth, and are mostly covered with ice and snow throughout the year.
