[1] sandy soil:

• when the percentage of sand is high in specific soil then it is called sandy soil. it has largest particle among different soil particles and sandy soil is also known as light soil.

• Sandy soil is dry and gritty and can’t hold water.

[2] Silty soil

• Is comprised of smaller particles than sand, and while it retains water longer, it drains poorly can’t hold nutrients well.

• It is also easily compacted, so it becomes poorly aerated if it is walked on  or if there is a pounding rain.
