Three institution responsible to run democratic government in India:
- The 'Prime Minister' and the 'Cabinet'
- The Civil Servant or The Administrative Services
- The Supreme Court of India
EXPLANATION:
- The 'Prime Minister and the Cabinet': The 'Prime Minister' is the foundation of the 'cabinet'. He is focal to the setup of the 'Council of Ministers'. He summons and leads the 'meeting of the Cabinet'. Furthermore, he/she can remove a minister at any time by ordering the minister’s resignation or have him/her terminated by the President. The key function of the 'Council of Ministers' is to advise and assist the President. They determine the legislative agendas of the Union and utilises its initiative in the presentation and enactment of Govt. legislation. - The Civil Servant or the Administrative Services: Civil Servants refer to the career bureaucrats who are the permanent executive branch of the Indian Republic. They are the civil service system which is the mainstay of the administrative system of the nation. The eventual responsibility for managing the administration lies with the people's voted representatives, that is, the cabinet ministers. However a few ministers cannot be expected to deal personally with the manifold issues of contemporary administration. Therefore, the ministers formulate the policies and it is for these civil servants, who serve at the decision of the Indian President to execute it.
- The Supreme Court of India: It is the highest judicial court in India and comprises the Chief Justice of India and around 33 judges, and has wide-ranging powers in the form of appellate, original, as well as advisory jurisdictions
