The four components blood are:-

1. Plasma - the liquid part of blood is called plasma. it is colourless liquid which consists mainly of water with substance dissolve in it. it contain about 90% water. it also contain dissolve substance such as protein, digested food, common salt, waste products like carbon dioxide and urea and hormone. it carries all these dissolve substance from one path to another part in the body.

2. RBC ( Red Blood Cells) - red blood cell carry oxygen from lungs to all the cells of body. they do not have nuclei. when we donate blood to save the life of a person then the loss of blood from our body can be made up very quickly within a day. this is because red blood cell are made very fast in our bone marrow.

3. WBC (White Blood Cells) - white blood cells fight infection and protect us from disease. this is because white blood cell help to fight against germs and other foreign bodies which cause disease. they are called soldiers of the body because they protect the body from attack of disease causing germs and other harmful foreign materials.

4. Platelets - platelets are tiny fragment of a special cell formed in the bone marrow. they do not have nuclei. they help in coagulation of blood or clotting of blood in the cut or wound.
