Cooking of food is a chemical change .. you can't get the original taste and texture back of the substance that is cooked.

Burning of paper.
it is irreversible because if we burn paper no other substances form and after burning the paper it properties fully changed after burning and then paper can not me made from a burnt paper. that's why it is irreversible
