Hydrogen and Oxygen are the two gases which dissolve in water . Since living beings need oxygen to live , it helps aquatic life to live and make them survive. Most of the fishes do not drink water , they take water only to take oxygen and after taking Oxygen they leave the remained water .

Carbon dioxide, also called CO2, is found in water as a dissolved gas. It can dissolve in water 200 times more easily than oxygen. Aquatic plants depend on carbon dioxide for life and growth, just as fish depend on oxygen.
