Two of the heterocrine glands which are present in human beings are the gonads and the pancreas.

Explanation:

  • Heterocrine glands are those which are responsible for secretion of enzymes other than secretion of hormone.
  • The Alpha cell of the pancreas secretes the glucagon hormone and the beta cell of the pancreas is responsible for the secretion of the insulin. The Delta cell of the pancreas secretes somatostatin. All the three hormones are responsible for maintenance of proper blood sugar level in human beings.
  • The main function of the gonads are the production of the male and female gametes which are the ovum and the sperms. But they are also responsible for secretion of other hormones such as testosteron by the testis and oestrogen and progesterone by the ovaries.
