Answer :

The two methods of asexual reproduction are :-

Budding

A daughter individual arises on the parent organism as a bud-like outgrowth. A newly formed daughter cells do not separate from the parent cell but form long chains of cells. This bud grows, detached from the parent cell and forms a new individual.

Some examples :

  • Yeast
  • Hydra

Spore formation

Spores are produced under unfavorable conditions, which develops in a structure called sporangium. sports are are thick walled and tiny asexual reproductive bodies. when the ports are matched that they are released by the rupture of sporangia, which floats on air and carried away. On getting suitable conditions, the spore develops into a new plant.

Some examples :

  • Fungi ( Bread mould )
  • Ferns

Asexual reproduction :

The mode of reproduction in which a single organism divides and produce two or more individuals is known as asexual reproduction.

There are main four types of asexual reproduction :-

  • Budding
  • Binary Fission
  • Fragmentation
  • Spore formation

  • ➡Asexual reproduction is a mode of reproduction in which only one parent is involved to reproduce offspring.
  • ➡In asexual reproduction, the offsprings produced are exact copies of their parents.
  • ➡It is generally observed in very small sized organisms. Binary fission, Budding, Fragmentation etc. are the examples of asexual reproduction.

Two types :-

➡Budding:

  • In this mode, a part of the organism starts bulging out. Slowly it grows and develops into a separate individual.
  • Examples: Hydra, yeast.

➡Binary Fission:

  • It is a type of asexual reproduction in which a single cell divides into two halves.
  • Organisms that reproduce through binary fission are bacteria and Amoeba.
