In 1833 people began to stand up for what was right. Laws against child labor were developed, children under the age of nine were not allowed to work, children could not work at night, and children under 18 could only work 12 hours in a day. Ten years later, the employment of women and children was forbidden. These laws did not completely stop child laborers though, it still continued into the 20th century in the United States and Europe......hope it may help you ...#MB
