Answer: There are many government schemes for the welfare of the farmer like:

Pradhan Mantri Kisan_Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana.

Group Fisherman_Accidental Insurance_Scheme.

Pradhan_Mantri_Fasal Bima_Yojana.

Explanation:

The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, announced by  Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on February 18, 2016, is a yield insurance programme for peasants  to reduce the premium burden on farmers to provide comprehensive crop failure insurance, thereby helping farmers in stabilising their income To provide farmers with insurance coverage and financial help if any of the  crops fail due to natural disasters, pests, or diseases. Farmers' income should be stabilised for them to continue farming.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sammann Nidhi is a government of India initiative in which all farmers receive up to Rs6,000 per year as minimum income support.  The scheme costs Rs75,000 crores per year and will come into force in December 2019.
