Land, Soil, Water, Natural Vegetation and Wildlife Resources Government has laid down many rules and taken many steps to preserve the wildlife and forest.

Two major steps taken are:

• Many national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and biosphere reserves have been set by government to protect plants and animals. Hunting and killing of animals like lions, tigers and other endangered animals are banned.

 • Many awareness programmes and campaigns are organized by the government every year like Vanmahotsava for conserving forest and wildlife.
