(i)  Carbohydrates provides energy and regulation of blood glucose. It will prevent the degradation of skeletal muscle and other tissues such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. It prevent the breakdown of proteins for energy.

(ii) Fat is an essential part of your diet. It provides energy, absorbs certain nutrients and maintains your core body temperature. You need to consume fat every day to support these functions, but some types of fat are better for you than others.

(iii) Proteins are large, complex molecules that play many critical roles in the body. They do most of the work in cells and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body's tissues and organs.

(iv) Vitamins and minerals are considered essential nutrients—because acting in concert, they perform hundreds of roles in the body. They help shore up bones, heal wounds, and bolster your immune system. They also convert food into energy, and repair cellular damage

(v) One of the main benefits of eating roughage is that it helps to regulate your digestion. Insoluble fiber provides bulk in your intestines and helps to keep food moving through your digestive tract. Insoluble fiber absorbs water and swells into a gel that helps to keep bowel movements soft and easy to pass.

(vi) Water is used in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it's important to re hydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water.

  1. Carbohydrates...they help our body... by giving energy to us... they are called as energy giving foods for eg.potato
  2. Fats... they helps our body for growth.. and muscle building.. they are know as body building foods.. For eg..Fish
  3. Minerals and vitamins... they give... energy to us for physical exercise.. and all... They are also good for our eyes... and many others
  4. Roughage and diet... they are important for our body... to make us fit... for eg... salad
