(i) By taking two cunductiong coils and insert them over a non conducting cylindrical roll then on changing current flowing in one coil, an induced current is obtained in the other coil. Electric current can be induced in a coil due to the relative motion between the coil and a magnetic field
or
(ii) Moving a magnet towards a coil sets up a current in the coil circuit,
or
(iii) If a coil is moved rapidly between the two poles of a horse-shoe magnet, then an electric current is induced in the coil.
