The definition of a resource includes that it should be culturally acceptable. Can anyone give examples of things which were discarded from bieng a resource as they were not culturally acceptable?

Thanks for requesting brother!

Let's get straight forward to this.

Basically all the things we see around us is a resource, every single piece of matter, molecules or atom present in this universe is a resource for us (until we found some alien species who may not allow us to extract it because of their jurisdiction ;-))

There's no resources you can say that it is not culturally acceptable world wide. Its just a term used in definition in social science term. The real definition of resource should be -

Anything which can satisfy anyone's needs.

Culturally acceptable, economically feasible our just social science term used for us for our better understanding. But exceptions are everywhere like -

Nuclear weapons are not culturally acceptable, yet a resource, treaty signed by every nuclear power country to never use it.

Polybags (RIP) the most popular Bag for handy use which is losing its existence dramatically.

Fillament (W) bulbs, became culturally unacceptable after entry of CFL and LED.

Its very difficult to find more examples, I will write some of these later.
