Formatting refers to enhancing the look and feel features of the text in a MS Word document.

• Not only MS Word but most of word processing applications provide a a number of formatting features to enhance the text in our documents.

• The formatting options are available within the Home Tab--> Fonts group.

• Some of the main formatting options available are: Font style, font size, Bold, Underline, Strikethrough, Italics, font colour, text highlight colour and so on.

• Another very important option available on the same group is the 'clear all formatting' button which cancels all the applied formatting features and the text is rendered back to it's original 'look and feel'.
