Four factors that spoil grains in storage are
(1) moisture; (2)temperature; (3) initial condition of the grain; and (4) insects and molds.
- Grains are perfectly dried under the sun to reduce the moisture in them without it the grain may get spoil by developing micro-organisms
- grain temperature also plays an important role in grain spoiling.
- Quality of grain is very important we can not do anything about quality after storage therefore initially we should observe the quality to make sure grain will not spoil easily
- Although insect and molds problem does not occur immediately in the grain after storing for some time it may develop the insect so we should take care of that also.
