The Four Gods worshiped in the early and later Vedic age are listed below-

1. Indra- Indra is also known as the deity of rain. He is worshiped for his protecting and war-winning nature. Mythological stories describe him as a successful warrior who saved the earth from an evil dragon and henceforth is known as the protective deity. His weapon is the vajrayudh or the thunder creator.

2. Surya- The term Surya means " the sun". It is the God of light. Vedic people worshiped nature to a great extent and believed in natural elements to be their guardians and protectors.

3. Vayu- The lord of wind. He was known for his swift mind. He is said to have four hands.

4. Soma- Soma is known as the God of words and influenced the Vedic People's articulation.
