The four important peaks of Himalayas are the Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna.

- The Himalayan mountains are geologically one of youngest mountains of world. The name Himalayas has derived from Sanskrit word meaning, Abode of Snow. It was formed millions of years ago when Indo - Australian plate collided with Eurasian plate.
