Dear Student,
● Purusharthas -
- Purush(human-being) + Arth(purpose) = Purusharth (Purpose of human life).
- The term 'purusharth' is used for goals of human life in Hindu religion.
- There are 4 purusharthas -
- Dharma (Moral values)
- Artha (Economical values)
- Kama (Psychological values)
- Moksha (Spiritual values)
* Dont confuse this with 4 stages of life in Hinduism -
- Brahmacharya (student)
- Grihastha (householder)
- Vanaprastha (retired)
- Sannyasa (renunciate)
Thanks dear. Hope that helps you...
