For many solids dissolved in liquid water, the solubility increases with temperature. The increase in kinetic energy that comes with higher temperatures allows the solvent molecules to more effectively break apart the solute molecules that are held together by intermolecular attractions.

Solubility of the substance is the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in specific amount of solvent. if the process is exothermic in nature then the solubility of the substance decreases with rise in temperature. The ability of a substance or solute to be dissolved in water is called it's solubility.
