a) Influenza A and B viruses are the most common causes of influenza-like illness, but other pathogens also cause ILI (influenza-like illness), including influenza C viruses, parainfluenza viruses, respiratory syncytial viruses, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae etc.

b) Malaria is a disease caused by single-celled microorganisms of the  group -Plasmodium. The disease is spread by an infected female Anopheles mosquito. The mosquito bite introduces the parasites from the mosquito's saliva into a person's blood.
