NPK is a complex of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and is manmade fertilizer. These three components are required for normal growth of plants. Nitrogen in the form of nitrates is used by plants for development of leaf and production of chlorophyll that give green color to the plant. Phosphorus helps in growth of roots and flowers. Potassium helps in retention of water and promotes early growth of plant.
