India's capital = New Delhi

★ New Delhi

New Delhi is the capital of the Republic of India , the national political, economic and cultural center and the largest commercial center in northern India . According to the "World Urbanization Prospects Report" released by the United Nations in 2014, Mumbai, with a population of 25 million, ranks second in the world, and has a population of more than 21 million, becoming the most populous city in India. The main industries are IT , telecommunications, catering and accommodation services, finance, media and tourism.

New Delhi is located in north-west India, east longitude 77 degrees, 28 degrees north latitude, in the Himalayas veins near the South West. The Yamuna River, a tributary of the Ganges, flows slowly from the east of the city, and across the river is the vast Ganges Plain . New Delhi was built on the basis of the ancient Delhi City. Construction began on the city in 1911, and it took shape in early 1929. It became the capital since 1931. India became the capital after independence in 1947. New Delhi and Old Delhi are separated by an Indian Gate (the Indian Gate), south of India Gate is New Delhi and north of India Gate is Old Delhi.

New Delhi is a typical radial city . The city is centered on Mulas Square, and the streets of the city extend radially and cobweb-like in all directions. Most of the magnificent buildings are concentrated in the city center. The main government agencies are concentrated on both sides of the broad avenue that stretches for several kilometers from the presidential palace to the India Gate in the urban area . The Parliament Building is a large disc-shaped building surrounded by tall white marble columns. It is a typical Central Asian architecture, but the eaves and column heads are all decorated in Indian style. The roof of the presidential palace is a huge hemispherical structure, clearly with the legacy of the Mughal dynasty . The Connaught Market at the west end of the city has a new and ingenious structure, which is disc-shaped and is the largest commercial center in New Delhi.

New Delhi is also the center of national transportation, with five national roads, six railways connected to all parts of the country, and two airports.
