H. G. J Moseley first showed that atomic number of an element is a more fundamental property than it's atomic mass. After Mendeleev, he slightly modified periodic law by replacing the word 'Atomic mass' by 'Atomic number'. He also gave our modern periodic table which has made the study of elements very easy for us.

Answer:
Explanation:
(i) The atomic number of an element indicates the
number of protons in the nucleus or the number
of electrons in the atom.
(ii) All the atoms of an element have the same atomic
number.
(iii) The number of electrons present in the outermost
shell of an atom is responsible for the formation
of compounds either by sharing, accepting or
donating electrons.
(iv) The chemical properties of an element are decided
by its atomic numbers. Hence, atomic number is a
more fundamental property of an element than its
atomic mass.
