Announcement as the Chhatrapati of his Swaraj which he'd erected from the declining Adilshahi Sultanate of Bijapur. He constructed military tactics, introducing guerrilla warfare styles.
He revived ancient Hindu political traditions and court conventions and promoted the operation of Marathi and Sanskrit, rather than Persian, in court and administration. In an attempt of reviving Marathi and Sanskrit, he commissioned the collecting of the “ Rajyavyavahara Kosh ”, a wordbook of Marathi words for the prominent Persian words also used in the Marathi language.
