Qutub Minar represents a combination of both Indian and Islamic architecture. It was constructed as a celebration of victory of a Muslim ruler Aybak over Rajput rulers. The construction of Qutub Minar started in 1199 and it took around 20 years to complete this grand structure. It is one of the greatest historical relic and a wonderful example of Indo-Islamic architecture of that time. It is especially famous for its Minaret. The height of Qutub Minar is around 73 metres/ 240 feet.
