c) Southern India:

Tea is grown on the slopes of Nilgiris, Cardamon and Anamalai hills, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Malabar Coast (Kerala), Coorg region ( Karnataka) and Ratnagiri (Maharashtra). These are important areas of tea production.

d) Other areas:

Ranchi plateau in Jharkhand.

Palampur in Himachal Pradesh.

Kumaon and Garhwal Hills in Uttarakhand.

Tripura region.
