Answer:

a) sulphur dioxide

it causes acid rain when gets Mixes with water vapour to form sulphuric acid.

b)nitrogen dioxide... it also results in acid rain..

d)CFCs ...it leads in depletion of ozone layer which protects us from UV rays..... which can cause skin cancer, damage to immune system.,etc.....

c) carbon monoxide....results in green house effect and global warming......

Source of air pollutants:

  • Automobiles
  • Oil refineries and chemical factories
  • Agricultural farming (methane from cow)
  • Volcanoes and wildfires

(a) Sulfur dioxide  effect:

  • Sulfuric dioxide leads to formation of sulfuric acid which causes acid rain.
  • It damages plants, trees, soils, building, water and so on.

(b) Nitrogen oxides  effect:

  • Nitrogen dioxide leads to decrease in yield and growth; and it damages foliage in plants.
  • It changes color in clothes and reduces visibility.

(c) Carbon monoxide  effect:

  • Carbon monoxide reacts with oxygen present in atmosphere and leads to formation of carbon dioxide.
  • It increase heat and major leads to global warming.

(d) Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) effect:

  • CFCs reacts with ozone present in ozone layer in leads to formation of oxygen molecules.
  • This reduces the ozone and leads to reduction in ozone. This leads to incoming of more UV rays into earth.
