glycolysis is the only pathway similar in anaerobic and aerobic respiration.
in anaerobic respiration, the pyruvic acid formed at the end of glycolysics undergoes decarboxylation to form acetaldehyde and the ethanol
while in aerobic respiration its decarboxylation forms acetyl CoA which then enters kreb's cycle
