Answer: Photosynthesis is the process which involves synthesis of abiotic substances like  sunlight , carbon dioxide(air) , water from the soil to produce glucose and oxygen.

The following equation will make it more clear:

Carbon Dioxide + Water (in the presence of sunlight) —> Glucose + Oxygen

                                                   OR

6CO2 + 6H2O (in the presence of sunlight) —> C6H12O6 + 6O2
