The adaptations of some aquatic plants are as follows:-

  • Lotus plants have thick cuticle which provides its floating effect [buoyancy]. And water don't penetrate in leaf because of this cuticle. Roots are even well adapted to meant be in water.
  • Water lilies live in water because they evolved adaptations, special characteristics or traits, to allow them to survive in that environment, such as weak stems, flat, broad leaves with stomata on their upper surface and bowl-shaped flowers
  • The most common adaptation is aerenchyma, with floating leaves and finely dissected leaves

Hope it helps
