2. Swami Vivekananda in 1897, founded "Ramakrishna Mission" to carry humanitarian work and to bring about social reforms. He condemned the caste system and the Hindu emphasis on rituals and superstitions.

3. Pandita Ramabai founded a "WIDOWS HOME" at Pune to provide shelter to widows.

4. Swami Dayanand Saraswati, who founded the reform association called "Arya Samaj" for the purpose of reforming Hindu religion.
