Name some examples of process deposition
(decomposition - the process of changing of a substance to gaseous from solid state)
Answers
Answer:
Deposition
deposition occurs when molecules settle out of a solution. Deposition can be viewed as a reverse process to dissolution or particle re-entrainment. It is a phase change from the gaseous state to a solid, without passing through the liquid state, also called re-sublimation.
This process is a physical process. Some other examples of deposition are sub-freezing of air in which water vapor (gaseous form) directly changes to ice (solid form). And through this process frost forms on the surface of the ground.
Examples of Gas to Solid (Deposition)
1. Water vapor to ice - Water vapor transforms directly into ice without becoming a liquid, a process that often occurs on windows during the winter months.
2. Physical vapor to film - Thin layers of material known as "film" are deposited onto a surface using a vaporized form of the film.
