Some green house gases are:
1) Carbon dioxide
2) Methane
3) Sulphur dioxide
4) Nitrogen dioxide
5) Carbon monoxide
These gases have various effects on the atmosphere. Some of them are-
1) It causes air pollution
2) It causes depletion of the ozone layer.
3) It causes Global warming.
4) It causes climate change.

Name of some green house gases...
Carbon dioxide, Methane, CFCs, ozone, Nitrous oxide, HFCs,etc.
It affects the atmosphere both negatively and positively, as
POSITIVE EFFECTS--->>
An increase in the atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases produces a positive climate forcing, or warming effect. From 1990 to 2015, the total warming effect from greenhouse gases added by humans to the Earth's atmosphere increased by 37 percent.
So, in the absence of these gases earth would have been like a huge ball of ice and there wouldn't be life at all.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS---->>>
Past and present-day greenhouse gas emissions will affect climate far into the future. Many greenhouse gases stay in the atmosphere for long periods of time. As a result, even if emissions stopped increasing, atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations would continue to increase and remain elevated for hundreds of years.
So, greenhouse gases also add up to increase in the global warming and hence cause melting of glaciers.
